Approach

How an engagement works.

Our approach is a deliberately short path from first call to standing work: a discovery week, a paid pilot on real files, and only then an ongoing engagement. Nothing becomes recurring until both sides have seen the work.

The rest of this page sets out the parts firms ask about before they commit: the two ways we engage, who reviews what, and how we cover your working hours from a single base.

Lifecycle

Three phases, in order.

The order matters. A pilot sits between discovery and anything ongoing precisely so a bad fit ends cheaply.

  1. Week 1

    Discovery

We read your books, meet the team, and map how work actually moves through your firm before we touch anything.

  2. Weeks 2-3

    Pilot engagement

A paid, defined-scope trial on real files, so quality and fit are proven before anything becomes ongoing.

  3. Ongoing

    Dedicated capacity

A named team on your work each period, reachable in your hours, with a review trail on every deliverable.

Engagement models

Two ways to engage.

Most firms start with a project and move to dedicated capacity once the fit is proven. Neither is billed by the hour.

Dedicated capacity

A named accountant or small team assigned to your firm, working your recurring volume each period. You plan around a fixed monthly fee and a known set of people, rather than raising a request every time work appears. Best for firms with a steady book of compliance work and a review rhythm to protect.

Project engagement

A defined piece of work, scoped and priced up front: a busy-season overflow, a single audit, a multi-year cleanup. It has a start, a finish, and a fixed price, and it does not commit you to anything ongoing. Best for a one-off peak or a discrete backlog.

Review and oversight

Who reviews what.

We are staff to your firm. The final review, and the signature, stay with you.

  • Your review, always last

We prepare; a partner or manager at your firm reviews and signs. Nothing is filed, released, or sent to a client without your sign-off. We are staff to your firm, not a party that acts on its own authority.

  • Documented as we go

Every deliverable carries a record of what was done, what was assumed, and what still needs a decision. Review is a check against clear documentation, not an archaeology dig through someone else's file.

  • Flagged, not guessed

Where a treatment is genuinely unsettled, we flag it and set out the reasoning rather than quietly pick a side. You decide the judgment calls; we make sure they reach you.

  • Internal review first

Work is checked inside our own team before it reaches yours, so your review time is spent on judgment rather than on catching arithmetic.

Timezone coverage

Follow-the-sun coverage.

Our working day sits ahead of the Americas and alongside the UK and Australia. That gives an overnight head start on US and Canadian files and a live overlap with London and Sydney, so your work moves while you sleep and questions get answered while you are at your desk.

Hours shown in UTC. Australia and the UK share live working time with our delivery team; US and Canadian mornings open to work prepared overnight.

United States

A morning-in-the-US handover: work prepared overnight is ready when your team logs on, with a live overlap window in your late afternoon (US East) for questions and turnaround.

United Kingdom

Several hours of shared working time each afternoon (UK), with our day well underway before London starts. Same-day turnaround on most requests.

Australia

A long morning overlap: our working day opens close to Australia's, giving real-time contact through the first half of your day.

Canada

Covered on the same follow-the-sun pattern as the US, with overnight preparation ready for a morning start and an afternoon overlap for review.

A defined-scope, paid trial on your real files is the honest way to judge fit. Tell us what your books look like and we will scope one.
